In January to November of this year, Chinese overall coke output amounted to 390 million metric tons, surging by 12.74% year over year. While in November alone Chinese coke production stood at 33.4387 million metric tons, rising by 3.6% as compared to the same period of previous year.
Looking at coke production regionally, Shanxi was the largest coke producer among the provinces surveyed in the January to November of this year. Shanxi's coke output was 82.676 million metric tons in the given period, accounting for roughly 21.06% of the overall coke production in China, followed by Hebei, Shandong and Henan, with quotas of 14.37%, 9.28% and 6.66% respectively in the domestic overall production.
